Re di Mare restaurant way from the bustling crowds of Riva and the palace, is a rather nice fish restaurant which prides itself on the freshness of its catch, excellent menu and affordable pricing. Freshness of another kind: wonderful view out to the harbour, the other side of Marjan, and a more natural part of the city. Gorgeous views out to see and towards Kastela (but not too close…), and a rather nice angle to appreciate the Hajduk Stadium to the right.

Parents are always looking for things to entertain the kids when looking at dining options. A perfect solution just to the left of the restaurant – a safe, enclosed play area for them, next to the restaurant parking. Presentation of the fish, that word again that stayed with me, fresh… There is ample inside space for the colder months, with a well-stocked fish tank in the centre symbolising that freshness. One more nice discovery just a short distance from the centre on the other side of Marjan Hill, and well worth checking out if you are looking for a waterfont location with a quieter pace of life.
